Fifth-year decisions can affect the roster picture. Where Yorra provides a fifth-year scenario control, you can change the return assumption and see how the projected roster and estimated spots respond.
In the UNC example shown in our demo, assuming all five eligible seniors return produces two estimated roster spots. Assuming three do not return produces five.
That is a scenario to explore, not a prediction about those athletes or a statement from the coaching staff.

Roster room is one piece of recruiting. It does not establish a scholarship offer, an event-lineup opening or a coach’s interest.
What the estimate
can and cannot tell you
Are these confirmed openings?
No. Estimated roster spots reflect the published information and selected assumptions in the view. Confirm recruiting opportunities with the coaching staff.
Does changing a fifth-year assumption predict who will return?
No. It lets you explore a scenario. The control does not announce an athlete’s plans or establish their eligibility.
What if the school has not published its complete roster?
Yorra can show recorded incoming athletes alongside the published information. A partial school roster and a recorded recruit are not the same as a complete, confirmed future roster.
Can roster-limit exemptions affect the estimate?
Yes. Roster-limit exemptions can affect how a team’s headcount relates to counted roster spots. When an athlete’s exemption status is unknown, the estimate cannot remove that uncertainty.
Does a crowded roster mean I should stop contacting the school?
No. Recruiting needs and rosters can change. Use the picture to prioritize your effort and ask informed questions, not to make the coaching staff’s decision for them.
